UK consumers have some problem with Windows 10

When Microsoft offered a free upgrade to Windows 10, received over 1000 complaints from those, who done it. Complained including the fact that the update was «forcefully installed without consent».

Many users thought that rejected the offer, however, the upgrade was made. Other users have reported problems with the incompatibility of the necessary applications with the new operating system, failures in work and the loss of the data part.

In view of the problems, the affected UK users may expect from Microsoft compensation. Reason for this may serve UK Consumer Rights Act of 2015< which says that « digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality» and « If you can show the fault has damaged your device and we haven’t used reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to a repair or compensation».

In its turn, Microsoft offers to the affected users free phone and online technical support. Is unknown how this situation will be resolved for both sides, but many experts notice, that Microsoft should improve its level of technical support and help educate technically barely literate users.

Not only UK consumers have problems with Windows 10, so do many other users around the world. There are many controversial opinions about it, therefore I decided not to install it.

Actually, I agree with the previous comment, not only UK consumers have a problems with Windows 10! Updates are installed forcibly and it infuriates me! My device is running slowly, some useful information disappears. Also there are other common problems periodically: frequent activation errors, junk the Chrome, no sub-folders for e-mail, Wi-Fi is unstable, problems with the drivers.
This is not stability of Windows 10, it’s not serious!
Online technical support can do nothing, unfortunatelly. We can only wait for the next update, which will restore the normal operation of the operating system!
