Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX: our opinion after testing

This product is rather costly, but it can perform its function on pretty much any surface. Microsoft has incorporated BlueTrack laser technology to help its mice work on anything apart from glass. Logitech has gone even further on this one. The company’s ‘Darkfield’ technology has enabled this mouse to slide even on glass, making it also show a high extent of precision.

The Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX is engineered to work with any type of laptop. It is rather small, compact and is expected to serve well as a portable peripheral. The pleasing physical form of this product is easy to hold with your palm. The dark, rubberized plastic body is convenient to hold, is attractive and pleasant to touch.

This mouse gives you the option of right and left clicking; it comes with forward and back thumb buttons, a clickwheel (that you can move to the left and the right) and a ‘Windows’ key.

When you click on the wheel on this mouse, scrolling enters the ‘hyperfast’ mode to let you search through lists (e.g. on the Internet) as quickly as possible. Click again to exit this mode and go back to normal scrolling to enable more careful decision-making about which documents you want to choose.

This model has a small USB wireless receiver dongle (the company advises its users to keep it plugged into their computers). This is a ‘unifying’ dongle that you may use to hook up with different compatible peripherals at the same time. Similarly to the laser-tacking system, the wireless showed excellent performance when we reviewed and used it on practice.

The designers of this item have really thought through even the tiniest details. To illustrate, the Logitech Anywhere Mouse XX can fit 2 AA batteries, even though it may only need to use one to function. This is really useful in case you don’t have enough charge when travelling, and can only afford to use 1 battery.

Cost during our test

73$

Conclusion

To summarise, this product is alluring, efficient and brilliantly designed to be utilized when travelling on the road, etc. It has quite a few revolutionary characteristics and can be used on any surface. The warranty is rather costly, though.

Arghh… if one can afford to buy such an expensive mouse i guess that person should be able to afford using two batteries… unless that was a gift 🙂
I rarely use the mice at all, still i prefer touchpads to them. But sometimes having a mouse can be fun, especially if it`s as cool as this one. I would love to try it and see how it works.
By the way, i didn`t know that the ordinary mice cannot slide on glass so your article has made me wanna check it 😉 I always use a mousepad so i`ve never had that sort of problem…
I bet if i had the Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX i would change my opinion about the mice in general and started to use em more often 🙂

Awww… it looks so small and tiny so that i cannot even imagine me using it. But maybe it`ll be all right, you never know…
I`m gonna look for more reviews just to find out what other people think about it. I need to be sure it`s really worth 73$ to spend on. It`s a bit too much as for a mouse, isn`t it? So it just has to be perfect for that cost otherwise it`ll be disappointing…

Don`t worry about the size, it may be smaller than the ordinary mice but it`s even more comfy to use. I`ve been testing it for a while and i can tell that it is very good. I don`t regret buying it at all.
At first it was not easy to get used to the ‘hyperfast’ mode of the wheel as it made scrolling just too fast so that i couldn`t see where to stop and often missed the page i needed… well, i must confess it irritated me a lot… But now i feel allright about that thing and even like it. It allows me to find anything i need within a few seconds. So once you get this mouse, just give it some time and it`ll become a great helper. 🙂

I have a huge collection of the mice of all sorts but this one has been definitely missing… I think if i get it, it will become my favourite one… surely not forever but for quite a long period of time 😉
I just love the way it looks! The design is very clever and it must be very comfortable to work with it. The price is not too important when it comes to buying a new collectors item 😉 And i already know what kind of mousepad i will get for it so it suits its colour and style.
It`s quite a good feeling when i find something new and interesting for my collection. Can`t wait when i can try it out!
Thanks for this awesome review btw! 😉
