Jumper EZBook Air review: the budget laptop for simple tasks

It is the third gadget in the line of the Chinese manufacturer EZBook placed in a super budget price category. In this review, we consider its the main advantages and disadvantages.

The cost and the possibility of acquiring

In the UK, this device can be purchased through Geekbuying importer for just £ 230.44. Additionally, you may have to pay the import duty when it arrives in the UK.

The design

At first glance, JUMPER EZBOOK AIR looks very similar to the MacBook from Apple. We can see the similarities in the colors, dimensions and the number of ports. However, if you look closely, you notice the evident differences in the design:  rough screen bezel and gray rubber bumpers around the screen.

Despite this, the Laptop’s design can be referred to its advantages, thanks to its aluminum shell, lightweight design, and full-HD screen.

Input devices

Because of the compact laptop size, keyboard lost its digital unit, but retained the standard proportions, so that the work on it quite comfortably. Some inconvenience appears because of US-layout keyboard, and that the touchpad doesn’t support gestures.

Display and connectors

As already mentioned, this gadget is equipped with an FHD screen, which differs by its good color reproduction and contrast. The laptop also has a web camera which quality is quite enough for video chats.

The number of ports is disappointing. You’ll find here only a 3.5mm headphone jack and a single USB-C port. A bit comforting presence a handy USB-C to full-size USB adaptor of complete. The gadget connects to the web over Wi-Fi with support for dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. It is also supported for Bluetooth 4.0.

The laptop has built-in stereo speakers with a pretty good sound.

This compact device is equipped with a productive quad-core processor Intel Atom X5 and 4GB of RAM. Of course, JUMPER EZBOOK AIR with integrated graphics from Intel cannot be on one level with the gaming laptops, but this performance is quite enough to view web pages and work with text.

In the benchmarks the Jumper EZBook Air performed in line with the Chuwi Hi12 and Chuwi HiBook, recording 1052 points in PCMark 8 Home against their 1010- and 1058 points respectively.

The laptop has only 100 GB of available memory and has no room for expansion. What’s sad. But the battery capacity is enough for a whole day without recharging.

If you need a light and attractive laptop for everyday using, and you are not demanding for performance and graphics, choose this budget laptop.

I find it great that it looks similar to apple but costs less. I don`t really care about the details so for me that could be a good option. The most important thing is that it`s lightweight and quite efficient for doing my everyday work. I`m not gonna play games on it as i`m not bothered thus poor graphics is not a problem. And it`s good to know it doesn`t need charging within the whole day!

This model seems to be perfect for students and it looks very stylish and the color is nice. I thought it is Apple product at first! The article says that the laptop can work for a whole day without charging, but it doesn’t seem true to me… It may be possible, but looks like a fairy tale for that price. Also, there is no room for expansion memory, and that is a serious disadvantage.
