How to Prevent Scrollbar Jumping in Chrome Browser

It happens all the time and terribly annoying. You go to the site of interest and begin to scroll a web page, and when it comes to the end or some picture appears on your page, your scrollbar jumps and you are finding yourself back on the top of the page again. How to prevent this? So, follow the instructions below.

  1. Run Chrome.
  2. Type in the search bar /flags/#enable-scroll-anchoring and click on it.
  3. In chapter Scroll Anchoring choose Disabled.
  4. Click The Relaunch Now or restart your browser by hand.

Well done! Now you can make sure that scrollbar jumping is a thing of the past. This process takes only two minutes, and now you can enjoy viewing web pages and not to waste time and nerves on scrollbar jumping.
