Best iPhone SE cases: Twelve South BookBook

RRP £49.99
Buy from Amazon

No iPhone case roundup is complete these days without the BookBook. It’s by no means the slimmest or cheapest option, but the hand-stitched leather cover looks and smells wonderful.

The BookBook has room inside for four credit cards, but its downfall is that it doesn’t have a clasp to keep it shut. It’ll also take a bit of breaking in but any scuffs and marks will only add to the lovely aged tome look.

Best iPhone SE cases: Twelve South SurfacePad

RRP £44.99
Buy it from Amazon

Another option from Twelve South is the SurfacePad, which is designed for people who don’t really want a case at all but know they need to protect their iPhone.

The SurfacePad sticks to the back of the phone and wraps around to the front to protect the front and back, but not the right-hand side, top or bottom. The napa leather cover adds minimal weight and bulk, and even doubles as a stand so you can watch videos or use FaceTime.

Best iPhone SE cases: Maroo Pahi Wallet

RRP £39.99
Buy from Amazon

You’ll find Maroo’s Pahi Wallet cases for iPhone SE available in three colours: Carbon Black, Saddle Brown and Fushia Pink. Each is stylish and sturdy, and practical too thanks to extra storage space for credit cards, ID and other cards. A magnetic clasps keeps the case secure and they’re made with genuine leather for a touch of luxury.

Best iPhone SE cases: Casetify

RRP £21.87
Buy from Casetify

Casetify is a reasonably new brand but it’s rapidly becoming a front-runner in the iPhone cases market. There are hundreds of designs to choose from, and the vast majority allow the colour of your iPhone to shine through too.

In addition, you’ll find the option to design your own iPhone SE case, so you can add photos of your family, friends of favourite celebrities if you so desire.

Best iPhone SE cases: Belkin Lego case

RRP £29.99
Buy from BelkinBuy from Amazon

The popularity of Lego is soaring higher than ever, so we expect that the Belkin Lego Builder Case will be a big hit.

It’s a fun idea, but not entirely practical since you can’t comfortably use the iPhone with any Lego blocks attached, nor can you use your phone while building anything on its back.

But if you’re a Lego fan (and a big kid), there’s really nothing cooler you can put on your phone right now. See the fun we had making an animation with the case in our full review.

Best iPhone SE cases: Griffin Survivor Clear

RRP £19.99
Buy it from Amazon

It doesn’t look like you’re getting much when you unbox the Survivor Clear. It’s a rubber bumper with a clear polycarbonate rear panel. However, as is often the case, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

As well as showing off the back of the phone, the enlarged corners offer enough protection to prevent any damage from drops up to six feet high. Your screen won’t get scratched if you put the Survivor face down on a table thanks to its raised edges.

All the buttons are covered – but remain easy to press – and there are cutouts at the bottom for your headphones and Lightning cable, with another for the mute switch on the side.

Offering good protection without adding too much bulk or taking away too much from the iPhone’s design, the Survivor Clear is yet another good case.

Best iPhone SE cases: NewerTech NuGuard KX

RRP: $29.99
Buy it from OfficeSupplies-Stationery

It’s relatively hard to find NewerTech cases in the UK, but we found the NuGuard KX for only £11 plus around £5 postage online. It’s a fairly chunky case, but slimmer than many which are this protective.

Available in a wide range of designs and colours, the case is made from “revolutionary X-Orbing gel” which is said to evenly distribute kinetic energy. In other words, your iPhone shouldn’t break when your kid drops it onto concrete while playing a Toca Boca game. Ours certainly didn’t. The case has passed US Military shock tests, too.

We found it was quite hard to use the power and volume buttons due to the thickness of the case, but you get used to pressing harder. The slightly raised bezel protects your screen well but the case is so tight fitting that it won’t fit properly if you have one of the new generation of glass screen protectors.

Best iPhone SE cases: Goo.ey

RRP £14.99
Buy it from Goo.ey
Buy it from Amazon

Goo.ey’s clever iPhone SE case lets you stick your phone to any flat, glossy surface, acting as an anti-theft device as well as a handy to use your iPhone hands-free.

Goo.ey comes in lots of different colours and is cheap as chips to boot (you’ll find it for as little as £5 on Amazon).

Buy from Amazon

You can actually pick up this trendy Vans case for less than a fiver from Amazon, making it a fun option for fans of the brand.

It’s a one-piece case that looks like a rubber sole, complete with the familiar Vans tag. We prefer the white and blue version but it’s also available in black and brown.

There’s a large camera hole, the mute switch sits neatly inside a cutout and the volume buttons sit beneath easy to press rubberised buttons built into the case itself.

Best iPhone SE cases: Tech21 Evo Mesh Case

RRP £24.95
Buy from Tech21

The Tech21 Evo Mesh case boasts the company’s FlexShock system, a segmented, rubberised bumper that will absorb the shock if you drop your phone. It’s available in black, pink or white, and each has a semi opaque back to allow the colour of your phone to shine through.

RRP £29
Buy from Ted Baker or Proporta

For the fashionable among us, Ted Baker’s stylish cases are a good option to protect your iPhone SE or iPhone 5S. There are plenty to choose from for men and women, too.

The Ted Baker cases won’t cover the front of your iPhone, but they do clip on and off easily and offer access to all ports and buttons.

Best iPhone SE cases: Belkin View

RRP £19.99
Get it from Amazon or Belkin

The iPhone SE comes in a stunning new Rose Gold colour in addition to the Gold, Silver and Space Grey options, all of which look amazing, so not everyone will want to cover that colour up. The Belkin View is a good option to solve that issue while still offering protection to your sparkly new phone.

The outer rubber bumper design comes in several colours, and is paired with a transparent back to let your iPhone’s colour shine through.

Best iPhone SE cases: Otterbox Symmetry

Best iPhone SE cases: Evutec Karbon SP

RRP £39.95
Buy from Apple

We rather like the Evutec Karbon SP case for iPhone SE and iPhone 5S, with its textured, non-slip back made from DuPont Kevlar fibres. That means it’s lightweight and super-strong.

Best iPhone SE cases: Ted Baker Flip case

RRP £39.95
Buy from Proporta

Ted Baker’s flip down case covers the front, back and sides of your iPhone, but that does make it trickier to access when it comes to answering calls and taking photos.

You’ll find access all of the ports, though, and there’s a magnetic clasp to keep the case shut. It’s made with faux-leather for a stylish finish too.

Best iPhone SE cases: Nodus Access Case

RRP £49.99
Buy from Nodus.

The Nodus Access Case for iPhone SE is a gorgeous, premium case made with leather that’s available in four colours. It sticks to your iPhone using micro suction, and can be used as a stand. For that price you’ll get two of the small square magnets that you can stick to a wall or surface to keep your iPhone in place.
