Last week, we have been informed that Samsung has already started the development of the premium Chromebook, which is to come together with a stylus. It seems like Asus does not wish to be forgotten, having started planning a 2-in-1 product.
Chromebook C302CA stood out to the Notebook Italia due to its Federal Communications Commission certification in America; but also because it was written down on the list of a few European retailers.
The Federal Communications Commission has leaked some of the information from the specification about the future Chromebook model. The following features of the product were mentioned:
- Resolution of the Image Packaging System screen: 1920 x 1080
- 5 inches in diameter
- Skylake CPU
- Intel’s m3-6Y30
- Adual-core CPU with a base clock speed of 900 MHz
- 8 gigabytes worth of Random Access Memory
- 32 gigabytes worth of flash storage space
- 11 ac wireless Internet
- Bluetooth 4.0
The features that were not listed on the leaked spec, but are very likely to appear either way according to the observations made by Notebook Italia from the pictures they received:
- Possibly a stylus
- USB-C ports
Last year the Chromebook Flip was introduced, which can turn flip for 360 degrees. Similarly with this item, the 2-in-1 model will have the ability to perform this function, but it can also be used in stand, tent or tablet (when the screen is completely folded back against the keyboard, turning it into a ‘chunky’ tablet) modes.
In conclusion, the majority of this information is not certain and is just rumours, which we definitely cannot trust. However, this model looks like it is designed for the more classy ‘area’ of the targeted consumer market in contrast to Chromebook Flip (which is very low in price in the Chromebook line-up).
