In 2015, Amazon introduced a new mega sale event called Amazon Prime Day. The event included huge discounts on everything from technology and gadgets to fashion and beauty. Amazon has just announced that it will be hosting Amazon Prime Day 2016 on 12 July, and it's expected to be even bigger and better, not dissimilar to the massive Black Friday 2015. Here, we share everything you need to know about Amazon Prime Day, including when deals will start and how to make sure you can see them.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day 2016 will offer massive discounts on thousands of products throughout 12 July, and Amazon has announced that it will be offering countdown deals in the days ahead of the main event too. There will be some deals that last the entire day, and others that are Lightning Deals, meaning they'll only be around for a few hours and have limited stock.
You'll need to be an Amazon Prime Member in order to take advantage of the offers, though. If you're not already signed up to Amazon Prime, you'll be able to do so for free by signing up for the 30-day trial. Click here to find out more about the Amazon Prime free trial.
Signing up for the service (which costs £79 per year if you decide not to cancel your free trial after the 30 days), and in addition to getting you access to these deals and early access to many of Amazon's other Lightning Deals that take place throughout the year, you'll also get free next day delivery, access to Amazon Prime Video and other benefits too.
